When it comes to selling a home, making smart decisions makes all the difference in a competitive market. New survey results indicate that Smart Home technology is here to stay and potential home buyers are highly interested in homes that have this technology preinstalled.

The good news for home sellers that smart home technology is an affordable and easy upgrade that will make your property stand out. Here are the smart products buyers say they would prefer preinstalled and their estimated cost:

  • 77% want smart thermostats ($74-$219 on Amazon)
  • 75% want smart fire detectors ($49-$250)
  • 66% want smart carbon monoxide detectors ($150+)
  • 63% want smart locks preinstalled ($130+)
  • 63% want smart lighting ($16.99+)
