Top Cities for Real Estate Investment

Texas is the place to be for real estate investors, according to a recent report by HomeVestors and Local Market Monitor. The Dallas area (including Plano and Irving) topped their list of cities ripe for residential investing, followed closely by San Antonio in second place.

The report ranked cities based on expected rise in rents due to population growth of four percent or more, job growth of two percent or more and a low unemployment rate.

Filling out the top 10 are Grand Rapids-Wyoming, Mich.; Orlando, Fla.; Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, Ga.; Charlotte-Gastonia-Concord, N.C.; Salt Lake City, Utah; Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Fla.; and Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale, Ariz.
