Austin, home of Visio's corporate office ranks #2 in real estate investment.

In a recent study conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers, Texas took the top two spots for investment opportunities with Houston named the first in real estate investment for 2015, closely followed by Austin.

Overall, Houston was number one in investment and development predictions for the coming year, and number two in residential real estate investment. Austin was ranked as the top choice in the single-family residential and office sectors.

Houston was a favorite based on its strong energy industry presence, which many survey participants believe will continue to draw growth to the area. All types of investors gave the city high marks, with institutional investors particularly interested.

Austin has again proven to be a top choice for investors based on the low cost of doing business there and the appeal to the millennial generation. As one of the fastest growing U.S. cities it not a surprise that many surveyed saw Austin as a market with the potential for a steady flow of investment opportunities in the coming year.
